Kate Colleary, Director of Pembroke Privacy, is a leading European data protection expert and a highly experienced data protection trainer. Kate is a qualified solicitor and she led the data protection team in a global law firm for many years before founding Pembroke Privacy. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). She has many years of experience providing DPO, data protection advisory services and training across a broad range of sectors including financial services, life sciences and technology sectors and the public sector.
Kate is honoured to represent the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as its country leader in Ireland. The IAPP is the world’s largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community. As Irish Country Leader, Kate represents Ireland globally, at conferences, in workshops and at discussions amongst regulators, updating them on the data protection regime in Ireland. Pembroke Privacy partners with the IAPP to provide professional IAPP certified data protection training in Ireland and Kate regularly delivers CIPP/E, CIPM and AIGP training with attendees gaining the benefit of her vast experience and expertise. Kate also lectures on the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland and Kings Inn’s postgraduate courses in data protection law.
